A lil bit about me......

Hi my name is Jeff Ballance. I use Graphics119 online and for all my artwork (plus for video etc). (the name comes from my birthday January 19th). I'm also one of the guitarist for the band unhinge (www.unhinge.net or www.myspace.com/unhinge). We are in the middle of recording our debut CD on RCS Records. I've been playing guitar for 18+ years.

Growing up I always enjoyed music and art (drawing, sketching, some painting and photography). I'd sit around the house as a kid and would make family members sit for me so I could sketch their profile. When bored I'd sketch the room I was in or get coloring books/comics and draw what I saw in them. In high school I found my love for photography. As I got older I grew to really enjoy film too. 

When you play music for a living its hard to relax to music cause its like bringing your work home with you. So about 5 years ago as I was teaching myself html and graphics to help out the band I stumbled onto the world of digital art (thru DeviantArt.com of course). Since then I've grown to love digital painting mixed with photo-manipulation to get a realistic look to my work. Also I found enjoyment in doing video work for the band. Now with the band signed and we have a manager now, I have found myself with some free time on my hands so I've thrown myself back into my artwork and decided to open up my own page (you can find me on myspace too at www.myspace.com/unhingejeff). I'm currently building this site and working on new pieces so stay tune........
